New Mexico Youth is a non-profit, independent, group that serves the community by partnering with businesses, schools, athletic organizations, local government, law enforcement, and other non-profits to reduce risk factors and create more protective assets for our youth. New Mexico Youth is organized through a Board and several subcommittees that focus on its mission and organizational goals. Core values and goals are driven by local and national studies regarding youth today.
COLLABORATION: To link together community resources (schools, families, alumni, existing youth organizations, community groups, philanthropic groups, business owners, local government, law enforcement) to support youth.
SAFETY NETS: To create school and community safety nets (e.g. professional referrals, help lines, community forums, after-school activities, social events, etc.) to reduce risk-taking behaviors and increase personal resilience in youth.
